Tasktra Cookie Policy

This policy describes how Tasktra uses cookies, local storage, and similar technologies when you use our platform.

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember your preferences, maintain your logged-in session, and support the technical operation of the platform. Cookies may be set by Tasktra directly (first-party cookies) or by third-party services integrated into the platform, such as Supabase for authentication.

Tasktra also uses related browser storage technologies including localStorage and sessionStorage for similar purposes, which operate under the same policy as cookies.

Why We Use Cookies

Tasktra uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes: Authentication and session management — cookies verify your identity when you log in, maintain your active session across page navigations, and protect your account from unauthorized access. These are strictly necessary for the platform to function and cannot be disabled without making your account inaccessible. Preference and settings storage — cookies remember your display preferences, notification settings, and workspace configuration so you do not need to reset them on each visit. Platform security — cookies help us detect suspicious login patterns, protect against cross-site request forgery, and identify authenticated sessions to enforce access controls. Threat detection — cookies and session data help us identify and block automated abuse, credential stuffing attacks, and other malicious activity targeting creator accounts.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles, serve personalized ads, or track you across unaffiliated websites. Tasktra does not employ third-party advertising pixels, behavioral tracking scripts, or cross-site tracking infrastructure.

Types of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary Cookies — These are required for the platform to function. They enable authentication via Supabase, maintain session state, and enforce security controls including MFA verification for admin accounts. These cookies cannot be individually disabled through your preferences, and removing them will log you out of the platform. Supabase sets these cookies as part of the authentication flow.

Analytics Cookies — These are optional cookies that collect anonymized, aggregated information about how you use the platform, including which pages you visit, how long you spend on each section, and what features you interact with. This data is used solely to improve platform performance, identify bugs, and understand which features are most useful to creators. Analytics data does not identify individual users and is not shared with any third party for advertising or profiling purposes.

Authentication Cookies — Set by Supabase Auth, these manage your login session and security tokens. They expire when you log out or after a period of inactivity, as configured in your Supabase project settings.

Third-Party Services

Supabase — Our authentication and database provider. Supabase sets authentication and session cookies as part of its authentication flow. These cookies are governed by Supabase's privacy policy and terms of service.

Cloudflare — We use Cloudflare for DDoS protection and bot management. Cloudflare may set its own cookies to distinguish genuine visitors from bots and to apply security policies. These are governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Cloudflare Turnstile — Our bot protection provider for the creator application form. Turnstile sets a cookie to verify that submissions are made by genuine human users rather than automated systems. This is governed by Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Calendly — We use Calendly for scheduling creator onboarding calls. If you interact with our scheduling widget, Calendly may set cookies in accordance with Calendly's privacy policy. We do not share your personal data with Calendly beyond what is required to book a call.

Cookie Duration

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period or until you manually delete them. Authentication cookies set by Supabase typically expire after 30 days of inactivity or when you actively sign out. Analytics cookies, if enabled, use anonymized identifiers that expire after 12 months of inactivity.

Managing Cookie Preferences

When you first visit Tasktra, you are presented with a cookie consent banner that lets you accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or customize your preferences. Your choices are stored locally on your device and remembered for subsequent visits. You may update your preferences at any time by contacting us through the support channels published on the platform.

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies in your browser may cause some features of the Tasktra platform to stop working correctly, including logging in and maintaining your session. Instructions for managing cookies in specific browsers are available in your browser's help documentation.

For users in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to refuse optional cookies. Our cookie consent system provides a clear mechanism to do so. For users in California under the California Consumer Privacy Act, cookies are treated as personal information and are subject to the rights described in our Privacy Policy.

Updates to This Policy

Tasktra may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies, legal requirements, or the third-party services we use. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this policy and, where required by applicable law, notify you through the platform or the cookie consent banner.

If you do not agree with a revised Cookie Policy, you may withdraw your consent through the cookie preferences mechanism on the platform. Continued use of the platform after a revised policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
